Caroline

Caroline, your mama’s gonna cry
She thought our moon were aligned

Without a goodbye
You were out of my life
But I never thought of it twice

Your mama tried
To protect your little mind
She said “Use your heart to define”

But you thought it’d be nice
Just to be a rich man’s wife
But that isn’t love, Caroline

You asked me why
I didn’t want t normal life
To make money, spend it and die

And you looked horrified
When I called it suicide
And that ain’t for me, Caroline

So Caroline,
I was just passing by
I’m a wave in a long, lonely life

Tell your mama “Hi”
And I won’t be stopping by
She like me more than you ever did,

Caroline
